And Kentucky Goes to Hillary

Right now, Hillary Clinton is taking a victory lap in some hall to thunderous applause from freaks with National Enquirer tucked under their arm, and armchair feminists who are only supporting the losing cause because they want a woman in the Oval Office, and have absolutely no concept of what's actually at stake by prolonging this race. You won Kentucky dude...KENTUCKY.

I've heard a lot of talk lately about how Hillary can court the 'working white class' vote.

I pose the question: Why is this a good thing?

What does the working white class have to offer the country? Sure, the big bad corporations are bad, but where was your quality craftsmanship over the last 20 years? You fucking got lazy, formed unions, and the quality and integrity of the American product went to hell. That's why things are imported from China, and why Toyota became the 2 selling car in America; there's no union fees worked into the price.

Let's face it. There's no more 'backbone of America'. Oh Wait! Yes there is! The illegal immigrants you're so desperate to kick out. The ones 'stealing' jobs from hard working Americans. If Americans were so hard working, then why were those positions open in the first place?

And when truckers bitch about the price of diesel they should remind themselves of the teamsters. We had rails, man, and still do, and could put a hell of a lot more people to work at depots. Imagine! Less dependance on foreign oil! No more truckers driving cross-country on a 9 day meth bender!

Who started this most recent mess? Bush stole the election, but it was close enough for him to do so TWICE...you voted...YOU with your undereducated blind patriotism.

Who let segregation exist in this country well into the 1960s?

Who made a t-shirt with Curious George on it that said 'Obama 08'?

Who continues to believe that bombing Iran would solve our current energy crisis?

So congrats on Kentucky, but I think we'll do just fine without you.

the working white class thing is bogus. oregon is like the whitest place in the country, working class even, and obama trounced her. i think it was just a ploy for her to say so people could think to themselves "hmm, im white working class... maybe i should vote hillary?"

if me and some of your high school friends had been in power in the late 90s, segregation wouldve been alive in well in swct. it was alive and well in our hearts. you dont need to be from kentucky to be stupid i guess...

out in california, immigration is a HUGE threat to the "legal job market." Maybe its easy to think sometimes that all the illegals are doing here is picking fields and cleaning houses (things us americans think we're above doing) but there are MANY carpenters/mechanics/plumbers/electricians etc... who get "outbid" consistently by guys who pay their crewmembers 8 bucks an hour w/o insurnace where the going rate is 18 + insurnace.

these are the skilled, non union guys im talking aobut. happens here in hawaii too - a big construction company just got busted ...

btw - you never responded to the obama challenge. maybe you didnt see i wrote back to you with the links to show it wasnt part of some right wing conspiracy to undermine his street cred. i figure since you're such a vocal Obama supporter, that makes you eligible to have your conscience potentially furrowed a little by the fact he practically verbatim claims he's chosen by God to lead this country to the promised land by doing God's work and God's will as God's servant.

She wasn't courting the white "working" class-she was courting the redneck and neo-redneck vote. I saw that here in WV. God knows we have plenty of both. However, most people here were not pleased with her comparing her situition to the 1960 JFK election.

Bringing up our characters in high school isn't exposing us as hypocrites. This country doesn't allow anyone to be president under the age of 35...so thank god for that because neither you or I are qualified even now to run any kind of governing body.

As for the Obama thing: Oh well. My candidate is playing sleazy politics and trying to pick up the Christian vote. Salon.com has an agenda, and so do we.
