I decided that I'm probably going to quit martial arts after I get my black belt. I'm kinda ready to quit now...but it would be stupid since I'm one belt away. Also, I was kind of reminiscing about the old days the other day. It used to be great to go out for a nice sunday drive. I used to drive all over the place looking for old cars and other cool stuff, just trying to get lost. You can't really do that anymore, not at three bucks a gallon for gas...and even if you do, which I did on sunday, there's always some impatient asshole right on your bumper. Also though about street racing. There was a standard for like 50 years, and unwritten rules that were followed. Ever since that faggoty Fast and the Furious movie came out, all these little dipshits in their rice rockets have completely ruined the automotive hobby. Been kind of thinking about starting a car club dedicated to the old ways...but it would probably just be a waste of my time, and I'd be pretty exclusionary about who I wanted to join. Not even sure if 'exclusionary' is a word... |
Did I tell you my brother is selling his Nova? There is an 'exclusionary rule' in law...something about inadmissibility of evidence. Who knows - I don't have to read that crap. |

I just had an awesome class after not having been there but once in the last three weeks or so. I dunno. Quitting is harder than actually doing it...plus I helped teach a couple of people after class, and that always makes me feel really good. Did I mention I lost like 10 lbs when I was sick? The hot girl is leaving in a week :( she's super asian pretty Phoenix, if you ever move east, we'll cross train. Hell we'll open our own school. |
Damn that's a lot of work for me. Moving east, I mean...I've moved a lot in my life. I mean a LOT. But if I ever do, hell yes to that plan. The Sifu I trained with has finally decided to let me know he digs me... (!whahooooo!) We're in pre-dating, racy text messaging mode at the moment because of both being so busy. There's a lot to be said for letting go of things/people that no longer serve you and moving on. :) |
gas in hawaii = 3.67 a gallon, unleaded. i go to costco and get it for the unbelievable low price of 3.45 a gallon. i own an '80 datsun pickup 720 kickass piece of metal with 1 speaker and a couple mean oil leaks and it fills up from dead empty for 30 bucks now. I think its a 10 gallon tank (let me do the math.........ok maybe its like 8 gallons or maybe i just realized my fuel gauge has been slightly off for the past 2 years). anyway, DUDe my Lemans in highschool cost me less than 10 bucks to fill from dead empty. and that was only like 10 years ago. Shoot, we're going to be crying about the good old days before they're even technically the old days |
Heh, I remember not eating lunch in high school so I'd have $5 to put in my gas tank. That was like a friggin' 1/4 of a tank for me. What's more unbelievable is that there was a time in my life where I could actually skip a meal. |
