Locked, not quite loaded.

I just took my oath, and sent in the paperwork for a passport. That was the last step before signing on the dotted line for the 10 day trip to China in April.

So, I'm a little nervous, but also pretty excited. I've never been out of the country before, so going to a Communist country that's somewhat at-odds with the country I reside in is a little nerve racking. I'm also scared to death of flying, so spending 20-plus hours in a flying tube of foreigners is also kind of off putting, but never the less! I'm pushing myself to go, and to not be a little homesick crybaby about it. Zoiks.

On the super plus side, I get to see relics that date back thousands of years*, spend time with Taoist priests at Wudan Mountain, practice Kung Fu in it's land of origin, and sample the cuisine of Shanghai.

I'll be seeing these little Terracotta guys that date back before Christ.

My wife went to China in 2000...she said it was the best trip she's ever been on...I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Wow!  I know you'll enjoy yourself.  10 days is the perfect amount of time to spend in a foreign country.
